Text Box: You’re Invited… To join in reading the Bible in a year! The Bible was given to us from God to be used as a guide for our lives. Within its pages we find people who have struggled our struggles, doubted our doubts, wrestled with our problems and found the ultimate promises of God. Yet, many of us have read just mere portions of God’s story. This is our chance to read all of God’s story and apply it to our lives. In 2008, I am encouraging our church family and friends to spend a year “in the Book.” I pray that as we unify our focus upon the Word of God, our lives will likewise become unified and focused. In each newsletter you will find a listing of the readings for that month. Each daily reading includes Old Testament, New Testament, Psalm and Proverbs passages. Each reading is designed to be read in 15-20 minutes and is the prescribed reading for that day from The One Year Bible (if desired, this Bible can be purchased at any Bible bookstore and comes in several translations.) Worship this year will be designed around the readings of the previous days. May God speak anew to us, refresh our spirits and give us passion and vision as we read together the Living Word of God.
